Dawn Bradshaw

Dawn has sixteen years experience in schools ranging from Teaching Assistant and History teacher to Special Educational Needs Coordinator, in both the primary and secondary sectors.

Prior to this Dawn worked in industry and developed skills in delivering training to both new and experienced colleagues. From here Dawn moved into adult education to teach basic skills in literacy and numeracy before moving into schools.

Dawn’s skills were recognised by gaining the East Midlands Region Teaching Assistant of the Year Plato at the Teaching Awards. She was the national runner-up in the same year.

Dawn has a great deal of experience dealing with students who have additional needs and specialises in: Dyslexia, Attention Deficit Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, General Learning and Specific Learning Difficulties.

Dawn has a Dip RSA in teaching, assessing and report writing and is an intermediate Team-Teach Tutor, a member of PATOSS (Professional Association of Teachers of Students with Specific Learning Difficulties). She is completing a Masters Degree in Special Needs with Nottingham University.
